Ostara Ritual March 21st 2010
The Kith met to hold an outside ritual in a beautiful tree-populated area near York. The weather was beautiful, and the landscape formed a natural tree lined circle by a brook. Silver birch surrounded us, and a fantastic Scots pine overlooked our altar. Mary, Janet & Debbie led the ritual.

Danu, Mother Goddess & The Green Man exchange the Sloe Gin made from Sloes collected from this area. |
We created a circle and invoked the Spirits of the area, asking permission to use the land. We invoked The Green Man and Danu, learnt about them, sang and raised energy and then planted herb seeds. We left an offering of bluebells for the Spirits of the Land. We enjoyed Easter Nest Chocolate Cake, Sloe Gin and Mead. The Sloe Gin was made from sloes from bushes found alongside the stream that ran next to the tree circle. Then we danced, drummed and played penny whistle. We sent healing energy to those in need. Then thanked the Spirits, Danu and The Green Man and closed the circle. We held a meal at a nearby Kith members' house to warm up and relax afterwards.
